MINI John Cooper Works Clubman is an all-wheel drive "charged" station wagon (or as it is also called - a six-door hatchback), which, according to the creators, combines "real racing sensations" with a high level of practicality and spaciousness (especially for MINI models) ...

For the first time, the car was presented on the Web on September 21, 2016, but its full-fledged display took place a few days later on the catwalks of the Paris Motor Show (and by that time it was already officially on sale in the countries of the Old World).

Visually distinguishing the "second" MINI Clubman JCW is easy on the aggressive front bumper with developed air intakes, slots on the hood, large 18-inch wheels of the original design and a number of other design elements. It is worth noting that similar modifications are available for a regular station wagon with an optional JCW package.

In length, the "charged" cargo-passenger MINI model is stretched by 4253 mm, its wheelbase "extends" to 2670 mm, and the height and width of the body reach 1441 mm and 1800 mm, respectively. The clearance under the "belly" of the six-door is 141 mm.

Sports seats with combined fabric and suede upholstery, integrated headrests and red stitching, black headlining, aluminum pedals and a few inscriptions "John Cooper Works" - these are all the internal differences between the "hot" MINI Clubman of the second generation from the "civilian" one.

Otherwise, they are identical - the "family" design, a full second row of seats and a trunk with a capacity from 360 to 1250 liters.

Specifications. In the engine compartment of the "Clubman" in the JCW version, there is a 2.0-liter aluminum petrol four B48 with direct injection, Valvetronic system, two balance shafts, a two-flow turbocharger and 16 valves. It produces 231 "mares" at 5000-6000 rpm and 350 Nm of output potential, which is available at 1450-4500 rpm.

Nominally, the car is equipped with a six-speed "mechanics" and an all-wheel drive transmission, which, by means of a multi-plate clutch with electrohydraulic control, if necessary, supplies traction to the rear wheels and has an electronic imitation of the front cross-wheel differential lock. For a surcharge, the "Briton" can be equipped with a hydromechanical "automatic" with eight ranges.

The starting "race" up to 100 km / h for a "charged" station wagon fits into 6.3 seconds, and its "maximum speed" is 238 km / h. For every "hundred" of run, the car consumes from 6.8 to 7.4 liters, depending on the version.

From a constructive point of view, the MINI Clubman JCW of the second generation largely repeats the "civilian" model: a UKL "bogie" at the base, MacPherson struts and a "multi-link" front and rear, respectively, as well as electric power steering with variable characteristics. It features a sports-tuned chassis and reinforced Brembo brakes with ventilated discs on all wheels.

Options and prices. The second “release” of the MINI John Cooper Works Clubman in 2017 was offered to Russian buyers at a price of 2 million 310 thousand rubles (for the “automatic machine” you will have to pay an additional 130 thousand rubles). The basic arsenal of the station wagon includes six airbags, adaptive cruise control, dual-zone "climate", LED headlights, 18-inch "rollers", heated front seats, rear parking sensors, ABS, ESP, EBD, standard audio system, multifunction steering wheel and much more. ...
