Zotye E200 EV is a rear-wheel drive electric hatchback of the A-class, combining: outstanding appearance, strictly two-seater saloon and modern technical "stuffing" ... It is addressed to residents of large cities (for many of which it will become the second car in the family), young and ambitious, following fashion trends and paying attention to the ecological situation in the world ...

For the first time, the three-door was shown to a wide audience in April 2015 on the catwalks of the Shanghai International Motor Show, and its sales in the home (Chinese) market began in the first quarter of 2016. This electric car is a further development of the "green" microcar Zhidou E20, which was "born" in 2014, but did not gain much success.

The Zotye E200 EV looks attractive, stylish and outstanding - the Chinese did a good job on their own on the hatch design, although they used the "Smart form factor".

A frowned front end with a "unkind look" of headlights and a "chubby" bumper, a balanced silhouette with a soaring sill line and an abundance of edges on the sidewalls, a neat stern with graceful lanterns and an "inflated" bumper - in the city traffic, the car will definitely attract a lot of attention (to this it and obliges an unusual format).

The length of the Zotye E200 EV is 2735 mm, of which the distance between the wheelsets extends by 1810 mm, the width does not exceed 1600 mm, and the height reaches 1630 mm (including the antenna). The size of the front and rear track of the city car is 1360 mm and 1350 mm, respectively, and its ground clearance is 128 mm.

In the equipped form, the electric car weighs 1100 kg, while its total weight fits into 1270 kg.

The interior of the Zotye E200 EV is imbued with the spirit of minimalism, and in the center of the "eye catching" there is a 10-inch display of the multimedia complex, into which the "microclimate" control and other minor functions are "sewn". The driver observes at his workplace a three-spoke multi-steering wheel with a beveled rim and a virtual instrument cluster.

Inside the electric car, good-quality finishing materials are used, and the seats (for an additional charge) can be trimmed with good leather.

In the three-door cabin, there are two ergonomic chairs with unobtrusive lateral support, moderately dense filling and sufficient adjustment ranges (as an option - electric). True, only people up to 180 centimeters tall can sit comfortably in the car, while taller comrades will be cramped here.

Despite its diminutive dimensions, the Zotye E200 EV has space for a luggage compartment, and quite a decent one - for example, it can “absorb” a couple of bulky bags.

The city car is driven by a synchronous electric motor with a rated power of 41 horsepower (30 kW). Its peak output is 82 hp. (60 kW) and 180 Nm of torque, available from the start and across the entire rev range. The entire power reserve is sent to the wheels of the rear axle by means of a single-stage gearbox.

The power plant is "powered" by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 24.5 kW ∙ h, which provides the hatchback with a "range" of 220 km on a single charge (this is under ideal conditions, the real mileage is about 160 km).

Full “saturation” of the batteries takes from six to eight hours from an ordinary household outlet, and from special terminals the battery “refills” by 80% after half an hour.

The maximum capabilities of an electric vehicle do not exceed 120 km / h (as for acceleration to "hundreds" - it was not disclosed).

At the heart of the Zotye E200 EV is a rear wheel drive bogie with an aluminum body shell and a plastic body kit. "In a circle" the car is equipped with independent suspensions: on the front axle - MacPherson type, in the rear - a structure with double A-arms.

Disc brakes (ventilated at the front) with ABS are used on all wheels of the three-door. The electric vehicle is equipped with electric power assisted rack and pinion steering.

In the Celestial Empire, the Zotye E200 EV is sold at a price of 181,000 yuan (~ 1.67 million rubles), but this does not include government support (in the foreseeable future, it should reach Russia).

As standard, the car is equipped with: front airbags, 15-inch wheels, ABS, EBD, LED DRLs, fog lights, a virtual instrument cluster, air conditioning, power windows, a multimedia complex with a 10-inch screen, electric outside mirrors and other options.

As for the "top" versions, they additionally have: an electronic stabilization system, electronic seat adjustment, cruise control, a rear-view camera and other equipment.
