Hyundai Accent is a front-wheel drive subcompact car (segment "B" by European standards), offered in two body versions (four-door sedan and five-door hatchback), which combines expressive design, excellent technical and operational characteristics (at least for its class) and affordable cost ...

It is aimed at the most "motley" target audience, starting with young people and ending with family people (in particular, with children) ...

For the first time, the fifth generation "Accent" was presented in the fall of 2016 at the international auto show in the Chinese city of Chengdu (albeit under the name "Verna") - the car received a redesigned design, a modernized technical component and new, previously unavailable equipment.

A few months later (to be more precise, in February 2017), the car appeared on the Russian market, but under the name "Solaris" and with a package of improvements that made it more suitable for our operating conditions.

In general, the "fifth" Hyundai Accent is a global model that is sold on almost all world continents, and under various names and some stylistic and technical features.

  • In China, the car debuted in the fall of 2016 under the name "Verna", and immediately in two body versions - a sedan and a hatchback. If visually it has some differences from the Russian "brother", then it technically repeats it and is equipped with in-line petrol "fours" with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters: the first produces 100 horsepower and 132 Nm of peak thrust, and the second - 123 hp. and 151 Nm.
  • In North America, the "fifth Accent" was presented in February 2017, and in Canada and Mexico - with two body types, and, for example, in the United States - with one. Americans are content with only one power unit - a 1.6-liter "aspirated" GDI of the Gamma family, which produces 132 hp. and 161 Nm of peak thrust.
  • The car reached the Indian market in August 2017 and only in a four-door body. Externally, internally and structurally, it does not differ from its Russian counterpart, however, in addition to petrol engines of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, it is also equipped with a 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engine producing 128 hp. and 260 Nm of torque.
  • In the CIS countries (of course, with the exception of Russia) "Accent" of the fifth generation is sold exclusively in a three-volume modification, and against the background of the Russian "brother" it stands out only by its name. The car is driven by 1.4 and 1.6 liter petrol fours, developing 100 and 123 hp. respectively, which are combined with 6-speed gearboxes - manual or automatic.

The fifth "release" Hyundai Accent is one of the bestsellers in almost all markets where it is officially presented. Moreover, it is in demand among the general population not so much for the design or the level of equipment, but for its reliable design, excellent technical characteristics and a reasonable price tag.
